Create a free Website Tonight website building account with any domain purchased through GoDaddy

Click on 'my account'

Click on 'free products' list and choose Website Tonight Account

Click on 'use credit' and assign a website from the list on the right, 'continue'

On the left, click Website Tonight Accounts and it will then be listed in the middle as 'new account'

Click 'launch'

Read and 'accept'

'Next'

Enter site settings - remember to keep a note of all passwords - 'next'
(password must contain a capital letter and a number)

Select site options and template - 'finish'

Go to page designer and begin!


Adding your own images/logos

On the green task bar at the top, choose 'manage' then click on 'upload files and images'

Click 'browse' button to find the location of you image on your computer (it is often simplest to save your images to the desktop - they are then easy to find)

Double click on desired file

Go back to Page Designer (from green task bar) and choose 'images' then 'edit background images'

Find the image you want to change by scrolling through the options and choose 'change image'. You can then put in your own logo or image by choosing 'my images' then 'ok' or one of the pre-loaded images available.


Adding a PayPal button

Adding a Paypal 'buy now' or 'pay now' button takes about 5 minutes to set up.

If you havn't already - set up a PayPal account by logging onto www.paypal.com.

Create a Paypal account.

Choose 'Merchant Services'

Choose 'Buy Now' buttons

'Get Started'

Fill out 'Create Buy Now Button'

At end of form choose 'Add More Options'

Successful payment URL (your website address) - this brings customers back to your homepage after payment to say 'thanks' and maybe shop some more..

Select 'no postage needed' and choose a payment receipt e-mail address

Choose 'Create Button Now'

'Select All' the html code

CTRL-C (control/'C') to cut

Open up Website Tonight Page Designer page

Click in required field and choose HTML

CTRL-V (control/'V') to paste

'OK'


To create and upload a free logo for your site

We use Logoease.com which allows you to use their very simple and 100% free creation software - they then e-mail you your logo in a variety of formats. An excellent and easy to use service.


Create an account

Choose 'start logo'

Choose logo image category and personalise with text and colour - have fun experimenting, sometimes the most effective logos are the simplest.

Choose 'save'

Tickbox logo to be downloaded

Download is e-mailed to you

Log-in to your e-mail inbox and open up download from Logoease

Choose save to disc (we have set up ours to automatically go to desktop)

Double click on downloaded desktop icon

Drag and drop the top JPEG 10KB image to desktop

It is now ready to be uploaded to your website as outlined above.


Other ways of making money with your site

Google Adsense

Create a Google Adsense account and follow the steps to create some adsense html code.

Cut (ctrl C) this code and log into your website tonight account page designer.

Click on text box where you want the adverts to appear.

Put cursor in the place where you want the adverts to appear.

Click 'insert' tab and select 'script'.

In the javascript box paste (ctrl V) the adsense html, OK.

Click the HTML button at the bottom of the text box.

Paste (ctrl V) the adsense html code again, beneath the script placeholder image. OK
